Day 32 Ilam Hall to Miller's Dale

Day 32 Ilam Hall to Miller's Dale

Today would have been another very long day, so I took the bus to the outskirts of Buxton and walked from there. The day was overcast, but no rain, at times it was quite warm. I walked in the Wye Dale along the river Wye and it was a very nice walk. After a while I joined the Monsal Trail, which runs along an old dismantled railway. Flat and very easy walking.

A railway bridge that is still in use.

   Daffodils!

   The Monsal Trail

   Old train tunnels

   Meeting cyclists

The old Miller's Dale train station is turned into a nice cafe. I had an ice cream, a Magnum 😋

Thr youth hostel is on the other side of the narrow dale, going down there were a series of steps that were quite muddy after the rain. Or maybe they're just always muddy.
   Ravenstor Youth Hostel - finally!
