Day 33 Miller's Dale to Edale

Day 33 Miller's Dale to Edale
Kilometers: 22

I woke up to a beautiful morning, clear blue skies 🌞 The day started out a bit chilly, but it soon got warm.

Clear blu skies and marvellous views over the hills all day long.

I'm now on the Pennine Bridleway

Crossing over to the Limestone Way

   Up, up, up

   Top of the world

Castleton is a long way down

I came across the hills at the top right and walked down to Castleton along the ravine. After a sandwich and a coke at the Three Roofs Cafe it was time for the final 5km and the biggest hill of the day, 2.5km up and 2.5km down.

   Going up

And down. In the cluster of trees on the other side is Edale Youth Hostel, goal for the day.

After a long, hot day it was very nice to arrive at the hostel and a warm shower. I had sent a resupply box here over s month ago and at first they couldn't find it. To make sure I had some food left for when I start the Pennine Way I ordered dinner at the hostel. They then found the box and I now have too much food, since I also made a planning mistake and sent way too much! It means that I don't have to worry much about shopping for some time, but it will also be heavier to carry when I start in two days time 😱
