Day 30 Burton-on-Trent to Sudbury

Day 30 Burton-on-Trent to Sudbury
Kilometers: 18

The day started out with quite a bit of rain, but it soon ended. The Versatile held up well and because of strong winds I kept it on all day.

The first part of the day saw me back on the canal but I soon left it.

My original route took me across fields that would certainly be muddy after two days of rain, so I stuck to the roads today. A bit boring, but faster. Also, that's where you find pubs and cafes!

Lunch-ish!

Only 2.5 miles to go to my goal, The Boar's Head, on the outskirts of Sudbury.

I don't know if this used to be Sudbury train station, if so it was very small!

Home for the night. It looks a bit worn down, but the inside was a pleasant surprise.

I wasn't expecting such a nice room!

Happy Birthday to me! Duck stir fry with plum sauce...
... and salt toffee mousse 😋 the table by the fire was an added bonus!

The back's been mostly good today. At night I try to stretch a muscle that's very tense, I just hope it's enough to keep me going.

Om du vill stötta min insamling utan att ange adress osv, så kan du swisha mig och skriva om du vill vara anonym eller inte, så betalar jag in motsvarande summa i pund.
