Preparations

There is so much to do before I leave! A couple of days ago I got my yearly cortisone injections in my feet. Without them I wont be doing any hiking, but the injections are extremely painful! For a couple of days afterwards I can't walk much, but it's too cold to walk anyway. It's been -25 to -30 C for a couple of weeks now, interspersed with a slightly warmer day every now and then.

With two weeks to go I decided it was time to start preparing my resupply boxes. I got out all the snacks and meal stuff I have on hand, but soon realized I need to have my schedule more definite before I continue with the resupply boxes. If I don't know how many days of food I need to send to different places I don't know what to put in the boxes, right? So back to planning.

Next was the ETA application. Using the app to apply was pretty straightforward, taking photos using the app was not. I took so many photos that weren't accepted, finally I just clicked "use this photo anyway". I hope I don't have any problems upon arrival in London!

And now, 10 days later, I have everything packed and ready to leave for the airport! I have decided to walk for charity, trying to raise money for rare cancers research. If you have the possibility please consider donating. Thank you!
